Shroud of love

What are we but a shroud of love?
Each thread symbolizing a sacred vow
Carefully entwined with no loose ends
Like bonds woven together for life

A fabric that lasts the tests of time
Strong enough to hold both grief and joy
Never to fade in rivers of trials
Never to stain in pools of doubt

Like the warmth of wool, the glow of silk
The simplicity of cotton, the strength of coir
We’ll run with grace through twists and turns
Creating patterns of sweet memories

And across the spinning wheels of time
We’ll flow through each other in bliss
A mesh of colours yours and mine
Uniting to form a drapery of moments
