The union

As lips were sealed in blissful glee
A story unfolded in melted arms
Lost in sighs to the sunset skies
I gave in to your ruthless charms

On roads that seldom seemed to end
You took me places like never before
Leading me through hypnotic rushes
I couldn't just stop wanting you more

And then time sang a woeful ballad
Fingers and threads slowly untwined
But walls stood testimony to that eve
That union, in moments hard to find
